A railway station is the halting place for the trains. Passengers get into or get down from the train in a railway station. It has a platform for the passengers to get down and get into the trains. Some passengers get down from the train while some other passengers try to get into the train. The passengers are also found in a long line before the ticket counter. They buy tickets and walk quickly towards the train. They jostle with other passengers to get into the train first. Some passengers wait eagerly for their train. The building of a railway station is generally made of thick corrugated iron sheet. It is of red colour. A railway station has a station master’s room, a booking office, a ticket counter and a waiting room for the passengers. 

It is a busy and crowded place. When a train arrives, it becomes very crowded. Different types of people are found in a railway station. They are hawkers, passengers and porters. Different kinds of hawkers always cry and try to sell their things among the passengers. The passengers feel very happy when they meet their relatives at the railway station. A railway station is part and parcel of train communication of a country. It is a place where trains stop and start from. There is a platform here. Passengers get down and get into a train from a railway station. The buildings of station are generally made of red bricks. One can see from a distance the green, red and blue signal and painted houses of a station. There are waiting rooms for male and female passengers. There are ticket counter, the booking office for goods, restaurants, book stall and station master’s room etc. There are two or railway tracks in every station. Porters rush forward carrying loads of luggage’s. The station guards are seen standing on the platform to show signals with green or red flags.
