A winter morning is misty and cold. There is dense fog everywhere. Sometimes the fog is so dense that the sun rays can not get through it. Even things at a little distance can hardly be seen. Bird's chirpping is not heard. The cow and other animals can not come out. But it is not so in every morning. Dew drops fall on leaves and blades of grass at night. They look like glittering pearls when the rays of the morning sun falls on it. Village children and people have hardly warm cloths. They gather straw and dry leaves to make fire to warm themselves. The old and the poor bask in the sun in order to warn themselves. People in general and children get up late.

So everyone is busy in taking breakfast, dressing and getting ready for going to their respective places. In a winter morning one can enjoy delicious and sweet cakes, payesh of date juice and many other things. The scene of the winter morning vanishes as he day advances. The sun goes up and the fog melts. A winter morning is enjoyable in many respects.

বাংলা অর্থ: আমাদের দেশে শীতের সকাল কুয়াশাচ্ছন্ন। বাইরে ঠান্ডা। সর্বত্র ঘন কুয়াশা। শীতের সকালে প্রকৃতি নিস্তেজ দেখায়। সবকিছুই কুয়াশাচ্ছন্ন দেখায়। তাই, দূরের জিনিসপত্র খুব একটা দেখা যায় না। গাছের পাতা কুয়াশায় ঢাকা থাকে এবং দূর থেকে দেখা যায় না। শীতের সকালে সাধারণত সূর্য দেরিতে ওঠে। গাছের পাতা থেকে শিশির বিন্দু ঝরে পড়ে। ঠান্ডা বাতাস বইতে থাকে। তাই, গবাদি পশুরা কাঁপতে কাঁপতে দাঁড়িয়ে থাকে। ছাগলগুলো ঠান্ডায় কাঁপতে থাকে। তারা শেড থেকে বেরিয়ে আসতে পছন্দ করে না। লোকেরা দেরি করে বিছানা থেকে ওঠে। তারা শীতের সকালে গরম পোশাক পরে। শিশু এবং বৃদ্ধরা শীতের সকালে তীব্র ঠান্ডায় ভয় পায়।

বাংলা অর্থ: বাংলাদেশে আমাদের ছয়টি ঋতু আছে, আর তার মধ্যে একটিতে শীতকাল। শীতের সকাল কুয়াশাচ্ছন্ন এবং ঠান্ডা। সর্বত্র ঘন কুয়াশা থাকে। মাঝে মাঝে কুয়াশা এত ঘন থাকে যে সূর্যের আলো এর মধ্য দিয়ে যেতে পারে না। সবকিছুই কুয়াশাচ্ছন্ন দেখায়। দূরের জিনিসপত্র দেখা যায় না। সূর্য দেরিতে উদিত হচ্ছে বলে মনে হয়। শিশু এবং বৃদ্ধরা সকালের তীব্র ঠান্ডায় কষ্ট পায়। রাতে শিশির পড়ে। যখন সকালের সূর্য উঁকি দেয়। ঘাস এবং গাছপালায় সোনার আভা দেখতে লাগে। কৃষকরা তাদের গরু এবং লাঙল নিয়ে মাঠে যায়। শিশু এবং বৃদ্ধরা খড় কুড়িয়ে আগুন জ্বালায় এবং নিজেদের উষ্ণ করে। বৃদ্ধরা রোদে স্নান করে। তারপর মানুষ চিড়া, মুড়ি, খই এবং বিভিন্ন ধরণের পিঠা খেতে পছন্দ করে, শীতের সকালের গ্রেডুল্লা দিন বাড়ার সাথে সাথে অদৃশ্য হয়ে যায়। সূর্য ওঠে, কুয়াশা গলে যায় এবং মানুষ তাদের নিজ নিজ কাজে চলে যায়। শীতের সকাল আমাদের দেশে একটি বিশেষ সময়, এবং আমি সত্যিই শীতকাল পছন্দ করি।

A winter morning is a cold morning of winter season. There is dense fog everywhere in a winter morning. Some times the fog is so dense that the sun is not seen. Payesh made of date juice is also a favourite dish to them. Though the rich people enjoy it a lot, the poor suffer much in winter for want of warm clothes. It seems that the winter makes their life bad to worse. They cannot go to their respective work place earlier because of the shivering cold. They have to return home earlier. That's why, they become unable to earn more. 

They cannot afford warm garments as well as their daily commodities properly. However, People usually like to get up late from bed in winter. But some of the poor farmers are to get up early in the morning to finish their farming work timely. Sometimes the poor children and old people shiver in the cold. Some times people are seen here and there basking in the sun or making small fire to warm themselves. In winter morning, like the rich people, the poor also like to have different kinds of Pithas specially which are prepared with date juice. They also like to have Chira, Muri, Khai, andd various types of dry foods. However, when the day advances, the winter morning is over.

তারা গরম পোশাকের পাশাপাশি তাদের নিত্যপ্রয়োজনীয় জিনিসপত্রও ঠিকমতো কিনতে পারে না। তবে, শীতকালে সাধারণত মানুষ দেরিতে ঘুম থেকে উঠতে পছন্দ করে। কিন্তু কিছু দরিদ্র কৃষককে তাদের কৃষিকাজ সময়মতো শেষ করার জন্য ভোরবেলা ঘুম থেকে উঠতে হয়। কখনও কখনও দরিদ্র শিশু এবং বৃদ্ধরা ঠান্ডায় কাঁপতে থাকে। কখনও কখনও মানুষকে রোদে পোড়াতে বা ছোট আগুন জ্বালাতে দেখা যায়। শীতের সকালে, ধনীদের মতো, দরিদ্ররাও বিভিন্ন ধরণের পিঠা খেতে পছন্দ করে যা বিশেষ করে খেজুরের রস দিয়ে তৈরি। তারা চিড়া, মুড়ি, খই এবং বিভিন্ন ধরণের শুকনো খাবারও খেতে পছন্দ করে। তবে, যখন দিন এগিয়ে আসে, শীতের সকাল শেষ হয়ে যায়।
